Job Title: MIS Executive (Accounts Background)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MIS Executive with a strong background in accounting and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating, analyzing, and managing financial reports and data systems to support strategic decision-making and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update regular MIS reports related to finance, accounts, and business performance.

• Generate and analyze financial reports such as P&L, balance sheets, budget vs. actual, and variance analysis.

• Create dashboards, pivot tables, and complex Excel models for data visualization and trend analysis.

• Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Support audits, monthly closings, and internal control checks with relevant data and reporting.

• Automate reports using Excel formulas, macros, and VBA to improve reporting efficiency.

• Perform reconciliations and ensure data consistency across systems.

• Assist in the design and implementation of new reporting systems and data processes.

• Identify gaps or anomalies in data and take corrective action.

• Generate ad-hoc reports and data sets as required by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com/M.Com preferred).

• 1-4 years of experience in MIS reporting, preferably within a finance or accounting environment.

• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables, conditional formatting, charts, and macros/VBA.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.

• Experience with ERP/accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Ability to handle large data sets and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

• Experience in automation and streamlining of financial reporting processes.

• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and reporting (optional but beneficial).
