Job Title: Finance Accountant
Position Summary:
The Finance Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records
and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role involves handling daily
accounting tasks, reconciling financial discrepancies, and supporting the senior
accounting team in financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Journal Entries: Enter and park journal entries to ensure all business
transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Employee Reimbursements: Vouch and verify employee travel and
reimbursement claims to ensure adherence to company policies and accuracy.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the Bank General Ledger
(GL) to ensure all transactions are correctly accounted for.
Accounts Payable: Update and maintain accounts payable records, including
performing reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income
statements, and other financial statements in accordance with legal and
company accounting standards.
Expense and Payroll Review: Support the review of expenses, payroll records,
and other financial documents as assigned by senior accountants.
Data Management: Update financial data in databases to ensure real-time
accuracy and availability of information.
Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports as
required.
Monthly/Yearly Closings: Assist senior accountants in the preparation and
execution of monthly and yearly financial closings.
Audit: Assist the Senior Accountants in the process of Audit by providing
necessary data.
Accounting Projects: Provide support for various accounting projects and
special tasks as needed.
Accounts Receivable: Update accounts receivable records and issue invoices
to ensure timely collection of payments.
Qualifications:
CA inter or CMA inter/qualified.
Proven industry experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly
Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment.
