We are looking for an Audit / Account Assistant to join our team at at Br Mep Engineers Private Limited. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹20000 - ₹25000 and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer billing.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and fund management.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and cost control measures.
• Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Support management in MIS reporting and financial analysis.
HR & Compliance Responsibilities
• Maintain employee records (joining, exit, payroll, leaves, attendance, etc.).
• Process payroll including salary structure, deductions, and reimbursements.
• Ensure timely filing and compliance of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and Labour Welfare Fund.
• Handle employee income tax declarations, Form 16, and payroll-related statutory compliance.
• Draft and maintain HR policies, appointment letters, and other employee documents.
• Assist in employee onboarding, background verification, and statutory registration.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, Shops & Establishments Act, and other employment regulations.
• Liaise with statutory authorities for inspections, audits, and queries.
General Responsibilities
• Coordinate with management for budgeting and HR planning.
• Work with external consultants (CA, CS, labour consultant) for specialized compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and financial data.
• Continuously update on new amendments in tax, labour, and company law.
Ensure timely tax filings, computations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Securely manage and back up financial data while maintaining confidentiality.
Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports.
Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
Job Requirements:
A perfect candidate for this role should have a keen eye for numerical accuracy. The minimum qualification for this role is Graduate and 5 - 6+ years of experience. Applicants must have knowledge about accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
