Job Purpose:
To manage the financial accounting, reporting, and control functions for the retail business, ensuring accurate books, timely compliance, cost control, and decision support to operations. This role bridges transactional efficiency with business insight in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with Ind AS/GAAP.
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor store-wise and region-wise P&L, ensuring data integrity and reconciliation.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
Manage vendor payments cycle, aging analysis, and dispute resolution.
Monitor customer receivables (B2B, institutional sales) and follow up for timely collections.
Track advances, deposits, debit notes, and credit adjustments.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure timely filing and compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable laws.
Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for smooth and clean audits.
Maintain records for all regulatory filings, returns, and notices.
4. Budgeting & MIS
Assist in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
Generate periodic MIS reports for category margins, store profitability, and cost heads.
Support management in capex control and cost optimization initiatives.
5. Internal Controls & SOP Adherence
Implement and enforce internal controls and company finance policies across stores.
Monitor store-level petty cash, physical cash handling, discounts, and return procedures.
Conduct surprise audits and identify process gaps.
6. ERP Systems & Automation
Ensure efficient use of ERP systems (SAP/Navision/Tally) for all accounting processes.
Drive automation in reconciliations, reporting, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education: CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / B.Com with strong experience
Experience: 8–12 years in finance & accounts; at least 3 years in retail/FMCG/e-commerce preferred
Tools: Proficiency in SAP/Navision/Tally; MS Excel and basic reporting dashboards
Soft Skills: Team handling, multitasking, eye for detail, and ethical conduct
