Job Description: Accounts Head (Including E-commerce Accounts)

Position: Accounts Head
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (Based on experience & skills)
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a managerial / team-handling accounting role
Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (6 days a week)

• Office Timings: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Head capable of managing end-to-end accounting operations, including traditional as well as e-commerce accounts. The candidate must handle team management, compliance, reporting, and coordination across multiple sales channels while ensuring accuracy and timely statutory filings.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Management

• Manage complete day-to-day accounting operations

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally (Advanced level)

• Handle bank reconciliation, cash flow, and expense control

• Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Ensure proper chart of accounts and accounting controls

E-commerce Accounting (Mandatory)

• Handle accounting for e-commerce platforms such as:

  • Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.

• Reconcile:

  • Order vs payment vs settlement reports

  • Marketplace commissions, shipping charges, penalties, and returns

• Manage payment gateways:

  • Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, PhonePe, Paytm, Stripe, etc.

• Track and reconcile:

  • COD remittances

  • Refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations

• Maintain accurate records of:

  • Sales, returns, discounts, and promotional costs

• Ensure correct GST treatment for inter-state & intra-state e-commerce sales

• Handle GST on e-commerce sales, RCM where applicable, and reconciliations

Billing & Invoicing

• Supervise billing and invoicing (offline & online)

• Ensure proper GST-compliant invoices

• Monitor receivables and follow up for collections

• Vendor and customer ledger management

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Handle GST filings and compliance:

  • GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C

  • GST reconciliation with books and portal

• Manage TDS & TCS:

  • Deduction, payment, returns, Form 26Q/24Q

• Handle Income Tax compliance:

  • Filing of ITR

  • Advance tax and self-assessment tax

• Ensure timely statutory payments and filings

• Coordinate with CA, auditors, and tax consultants

Returns, Audits & Documentation

• Prepare and file:

  • GST returns

  • TDS/TCS returns

  • Income Tax returns

• Support statutory audits, GST audits, and internal audits

• Maintain proper accounting and compliance documentation

Team Handling & Leadership

• Lead and supervise the accounts team

• Allocate tasks, monitor accuracy, and ensure timelines

• Train junior staff on accounting, GST, and e-commerce processes

• Review and validate team outputs

MIS, Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare MIS reports for management

• Generate financial analysis using Advanced Excel & Google Sheets

• Track profitability by:

  • Product

  • Platform

  • Channel (offline vs e-commerce)

• Assist management with budgeting and forecasting

Required Skills & Tools

• Tally (Advanced) – Mandatory

• Advanced Excel – Pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

• Google Sheets – Mandatory

• Strong knowledge of:

  • GST, TDS, TCS, Income Tax, ITR, GSTR-9C

  • E-commerce accounting & reconciliations

• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / equivalent preferred

• Minimum 2+ years experience in managerial accounting role

• Prior e-commerce accounting experience is highly preferred
