Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will handle various accounting tasks, ensure accuracy in financial records, manage accounts payable/receivable, and assist in preparing financial reports. The role involves working with accounting software, maintaining compliance with Indian accounting standards and statutory requirements, and collaborating with the finance team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements in India.
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, payments, and ledger management.
- Support the finance team in month-end closures, audits, and other financial activities.
Key Tasks:
1. •Accounts Payable & Receivable•:
- Process and manage accounts payable (vendor bills, payments, etc.) and accounts receivable (customer invoicing, collections, etc.).
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow up on receivables from customers.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
2. •Financial Record Keeping & Compliance•:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and books of accounts as per Indian accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like TDS, GST, and other applicable Indian tax laws.
- Assist in preparing and filing GST returns, TDS returns, and other necessary statutory filings.
3. •Financial Reporting & Reconciliations•:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, trial balance, and other reports as required by management.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
4. •Invoicing & Payments•:
- Process invoices, handle payment processing, and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure accuracy in recording transactions and maintaining supporting documents for audits.
5. •Audit Support & Month-end Activities•:
- Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary financial data and explanations.
- Support the finance team in month-end closure activities, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
6. •Collaboration & Communication•:
- Work closely with the finance team, operations, and other departments for smooth accounting and financial operations.
- Respond to queries from vendors, customers, or internal teams regarding accounts-related matters.
7. •Accounting Software & Tools•:
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or other relevant tools
- Maintain data accuracy and ensure proper backup of financial records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- •Education•: Bachelor's degree in Commerce Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA Inter or equivalent additional qualification is a plus.
- •Experience•: 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role in India.
- •Skills•:
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Attention to detail, accuracy in work, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English and/or local language(s) relevant to the location.
- Basic understanding of taxation (GST, TDS) in India.
