Key Responsibilities:
Record and maintain financial transactions related to freight forwarding, customs, and logistics operations.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, journal entries, and credit/debit notes in a timely manner.
Reconcile customer, vendor, and agent accounts, ensuring accuracy of freight charges and related expenses.
Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to verify shipment costs, billing, and supporting documentation.
Prepare monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, cost analysis, and variance reports.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the freight division.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and documentation.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance workflow.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost allocation methods in logistics operations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
