Client Details

About:

Our client is a well-reputed Chartered Accountants firm established as back in 1907  We have also other experienced and semi qualified staff capable of handling the matters accounts, direct and indirect taxation, compliances of MCA, RBI, SEBI etc.
They handle consultancy and tax planning both in direct and indirect fields and help the clients in structuring their transactions so as to minimize their tax liabilities. We have a Debt Syndication department whereby we provide clients debt raising solutions from Banks and Private Finances.

Job Profile

Job Title: Accounts and Taxation Executive 

Location: Wadala, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 2-3 Years Experience in Accounting

Qualification: B.com Graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting:

 Maintain and oversee the company's general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

 Prepare, analyze, and finalize financial statements (Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, etc.).

 Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR management, bank reconciliations, and petty cash handling.

 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

 Monitor fixed assets and ensure proper accounting for asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.

2. Taxation:

 Prepare Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the company.

 Manage GST compliance, including filing of monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).

 Handle TDS compliance:

o Deduction of TDS as per applicable laws.

o Filing TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q,27Q etc.).

o Issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).

 Compute and pay Advance Tax to avoid penalties.

 Liaise with tax consultants for resolving tax queries or disputes.

3. Compliance and Audits:

 Coordinate and support statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.

 Ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements under the Income Tax Act, Companies Act, and other relevant laws.

 Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation for review by auditors and government authorities.

4. Tax Planning and Advisory:

 Identify tax-saving opportunities and assist in implementing tax planning strategies.

 Provide guidance to management on changes in tax laws and their potential impact on business operations.

 Assist in tax assessments and respond to tax notices or demands.

5. MIS Reporting and Analysis:

 Prepare and present monthly/quarterly MIS reports and analysis for management decision-making.

 Monitor key financial metrics, variances, and cash flow management.

6. Other Duties:

 Ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines (e.g., ROC filings, PF, ESI, and professional tax filings).

 Keep up-to-date with the latest changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.

 Handle any other accounting, compliance, or finance-related tasks as required.

Key Skills:

 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).

 Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP and Tally Prime

 .Hands-on experience with MS Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

 Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.

 Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with auditors, consultants, and tax
