Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process and manage invoices, ensuring timely payments.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients or vendors.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring accuracy.
2. Bookkeeping and Data Entry:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Post journal entries into the accounting system.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
3. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in preparing reports for management review, providing accurate financial data.
4. Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
5. Tax and Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
- Prepare and file VAT/GST returns (if applicable).
6. Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Support the preparation of financial audits and liaise with auditors.
7. Support:
- Provide support in financial analysis and decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with other departments for budget-related queries or financial information.
- Assist the Finance Manager in ad-hoc accounting and financial tasks as required.
Qualifications Details
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant accounting certifications are a plus.
2. Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
