Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have 6–7 years of hands-on experience in core accounting functions and a strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
Oversee all accounting entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Taxation & Compliance:
Manage GST, TDS, income tax filings, and ensure timely statutory compliance.
Audit Coordination:
Liaise with internal and external auditors; ensure timely closure of audits with minimal observations.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing budgets and analysing financial variances.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Monitor receivables, follow up on collections, and ensure timely vendor payments.
Banking & Reconciliations:
Manage bank accounts, perform reconciliations, and handle fund transfers.
MIS Reporting:
Generate financial reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.
ERP/System Proficiency:
Ensure timely and accurate entry of financial data into accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Zoho Books, etc.).
Candidate Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred but not mandatory
Experience:
6–7 years in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling multi-location accounts or group companies
Prior exposure to internal control frameworks
Working knowledge of payroll and HR compliance (bonus, PF, ESI, gratuity)
