The Account Assistant will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and records of the café, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to support the café’s daily operations and contribute to its financial success.

Financial Transactions:

Process daily sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and digital payments.

Reconcile cash registers and ensure accurate cash handling at the end of shifts.

Prepare and issue invoices for suppliers and vendors.

Bookkeeping:

Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and inventory costs.

Update and manage financial ledgers and accounts using accounting software Tally

Track and record utility bills, rent, and other operational expenses.

Assist in preparing staff payroll, including tracking hours and calculating wages.

Coordinate with vendors for timely payments and manage supplier accounts.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and assist in tracking stock-related expenses.

Coordinate with the café manager to ensure accurate records of food, beverages, and supplies.

Reporting:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for the café manager/owner.

Collaborate with the café team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: High school accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or cashier roles (1-2 years preferred, but freshers with relevant skills may apply).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software Tally

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Other Requirements:

Female candidate preferred (as specified).

Working Conditions:

Work in a café environment with occasional interaction with customers and staff.

Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on café operations.

May require standing for extended periods during busy shifts.
