Accountant Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using TALLY accounting software. This includes recording all financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Proficiently operate TALLY ERP 9 or the latest version to manage ledgers, create vouchers, and generate financial reports.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently within the TALLY system, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Perform bank reconciliations regularly using TALLY to match company records with bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements1 and reports extracted from TALLY.  
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable using TALLY, including tracking outstanding invoices and following up on payments.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes, by accurately recording and managing transactions in TALLY.
Generate and analyze various financial reports from TALLY, such as trial balance, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Maintain a well-organized filing system for all financial documents, both physical and digital, ensuring easy retrieval and auditability, with records accurately reflected in TALLY.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary information and reports generated from TALLY.
Stay updated on the latest features and functionalities of TALLY and recommend ways to optimize its use for improved efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely flow of financial information into TALLY.
Troubleshoot TALLY related issues and coordinate with support vendors if necessary.
