We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our accounting operations in the building construction sector. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting project cost tracking. This position is essential to ensure that all financial procedures comply with company policies and construction industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and maintaining project-specific financial records.
Record daily transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
Process accounts payable and receivable, including verification of vendor invoices and subcontractor payments.
Monitor and record construction expenses such as labor, materials, equipment rentals, and subcontractor bills.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Help with bank reconciliations and petty cash handling.
Maintain documentation for audits and tax filings.
Support senior accountants in budget tracking and cost control for ongoing building projects.
Coordinate with site engineers and procurement for material billing and stock verification.
Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and construction contract terms.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Familiarity with project-based accounting and cost control is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Environment:
Office-based role with occasional site visits.
May require extended hours during month-end or project deadlines.
