Job Title: Accountant

Location: Kolkata (Near Science City)

Salary: Up to INR 17,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant with 1 year of experience to manage our daily financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Tally ERP9 and have a strong understanding of TDS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

 • Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions in Tally ERP9, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

 • Prepare and process journal entries, ledger accounts, and bank reconciliations.

 • Handle TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) calculations, deductions, payments, and filing of returns as per statutory requirements.

 • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.

 • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

 • Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.

 • Assist with GST compliance and other statutory compliances as required.

 • Support in internal and external audits.

 • Any other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the management.

Skills and Qualifications:

 • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.

 • Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in accounting.

 • Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in Tally ERP9 is essential.

   • Strong knowledge and practical experience in TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) compliance, including calculation, deduction, and return filing.

   • Basic knowledge of GST will be an advantage.

   • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

   • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

   • Strong organizational and time management skills.

   • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

   • Good communication skills (written and verbal).

   • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
