About Us:

Metro Interior Studio is a legacy-driven home decor retail business offering a curated range of high-quality interior materials like laminates, wallpapers, veneers, wooden flooring, and more. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations, support inventory control, and streamline our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Record all day-to-day financial transactions using Tally or other accounting software.

• Maintain and reconcile cash and bank ledgers.

• Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments and collections.

2. GST & Compliance

• Handle monthly GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).

• Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits and statutory compliance.

3. Inventory & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with the store and warehouse team to track inventory movement and stock levels.

• Reconcile physical stock with accounting entries and flag discrepancies.

• Manage vendor ledgers and maintain payment schedules.

4. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

5. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with the store owner, sales team, and external CA.

• Assist with financial analysis for new product launches and promotions.

• Help manage payroll and employee reimbursements when needed.

Requirements:

• B.Com/M.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or trading business

• Strong knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and GST regulations

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Preferred:

• Experience in inventory accounting or retail operations

• Familiarity with Tally or any cloud-based accounting software

• Mumbai-based candidates preferred
