Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Iraq.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing, with the ability to handle a wide range of financial tasks efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.

• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets.

• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial laws.

• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.

• Liaise with auditors, banks, and external consultants when required.

• Assist in strategic financial planning and forecasting.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

• Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.

• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.

• Arabic language is mandatory.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Additional Information

• Accommodation: Provided by the company (Partial accommodation – Other team members as well)

• Visa: Provided by the company (Against Security Deposit)

• Contract Duration: 2 years

• Leave: 22 Days Leave (As one day a week is Holiday)

• Working Days: 6 days a week (Friday Off)

• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible as per workload)

• Security Deposit: Required against accommodation and visa, this will be paid back after 6 months of work duration
