We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records (ledgers, journals, etc.)

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Handle accounts payable and receivable

• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts

• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits

• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies

• Maintain confidentiality of financial data

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven work experience as an accountant or in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP)

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA Inter / CMA / M.Com / MBA Finance (optional)

• Experience in [industry type, e.g., manufacturing, service, etc.]

• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other local tax systems (specific to country)
