Job Description for Accountant cum Administrator
A. Accounting & Finance
Bookkeeping & Transactions: Manage all daily financial transactions, including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable (school fees), receipts, and expense reports.
Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare accurate monthly/quarterly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) and complete all bank and ledger reconciliations.
Budget & Compliance: Assist in the annual budgeting process. Ensure timely processing of payroll and full compliance with all local tax laws, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
Audit Support: Prepare documentation and coordinate efforts for internal and external financial audits.
B. Administration & Operations
Office Management: Oversee general office administration, including managing school supplies inventory, filing, and organizing critical school documents.
Vendor & Procurement: Manage communication and invoicing with external vendors and suppliers. Handle basic procurement and monitor maintenance contracts.
Administrative Support: Serve as a key administrative liaison for staff, students, and parents regarding financial inquiries, receipts, and general office procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar combined accounting and administrative position, ideally in an education or non-profit setting.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
