Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:
o Create and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve company revenue
targets and market share growth.
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the telecommunications
sector.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels
of customer satisfaction.
o Address client needs and concerns promptly, and provide tailored solutions to
meet their requirements.
3. Team Leadership:
o Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and collective
sales goals.
o Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and
performance.
4. Market Analysis and Reporting:
o Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and
threats.
o Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, analyzing performance data to
drive strategic decisions.
5. Product Knowledge and Promotion:
o Maintain in-depth knowledge of SMS products and services, and effectively
communicate their value propositions to clients.
o Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and execute
promotional campaigns.
6. Contract Negotiation and Closing:
o Lead contract negotiations and secure agreements with clients, ensuring
favourable terms for the company.
o Oversee the closing of sales deals and ensure successful implementation and
client on boarding.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the SMS services or
telecommunications industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing client
relationships.
Strong understanding of SMS technologies, industry trends, and competitive
dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong organizational and time-management
skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
