Store Helper

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving deliveries and checking the quality and quantity of goods against purchase orders.

• Properly store and organize products, ensuring that all items are stored in appropriate conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) to preserve quality.

• Label and maintain items, ensuring that stock is rotated regularly and older stock is used first (FIFO – First In, First Out method).

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, ensuring that it is free from pests and well-stocked at all times.

• Assist with stock-taking and inventory control by counting and recording items in the store.

• Help with the preparation of goods for distribution to various departments or kitchen sections as needed.

• Ensure that items are properly packed and handled to prevent damage.

• Report any discrepancies, damage, or expired stock to the Store In-Charge or Warehouse Manager.

• Assist with the issuance of materials and goods to kitchen staff and other departments.

• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.

• Assist in maintaining proper documentation, such as inventory logs and delivery receipts.

• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to track inventory levels accurately.

• Ability to lift and carry goods of various weights.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
