Quality Inspector

We are hiring a Quality Inspector to join Manner & Skill Integrated Services Private Limited in Navi Mumbai, Ghansoli. This role involves managing storage, packing, inventory, and distribution of goods in the warehouse. You will play an important part in the supply chain team. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹20000 - ₹25000 and opportunities to grow in your career.

Key Responsibilities:

General Inspection Duties:

• Inspect in-process and finished sheet metal products for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections across panel fabrication, welding, and coating stages.

• Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, vernier height gauges, weld gauges).

Panel Inspection:

• Verify dimensions, hole positions, cut-outs, bends, and flatness as per fabrication drawings.

• Check for burrs, sharp edges, and proper sheet thickness.

Welding Inspection:

• Visually inspect MIG/TIG welds for defects (cracks, porosity, undercut, spatter).

• Verify weld length, size, and placement as per weld symbols and standards.

• Ensure weld quality meets company and industry standards (e.g., AWS D1.1 or equivalent).

Powder Coating Inspection:

• Inspect surface finish for consistency, coverage, and color match.

• Identify defects such as orange peel, bubbles, pinholes, or uneven coating.

• Check coating thickness using DFT (Dry Film Thickness) gauges.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate inspection records and non-conformance reports.

• Tag and segregate non-conforming materials and communicate findings to relevant departments.

• Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all inspections comply with ISO 9001 or applicable quality management systems.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean inspection area.

Job Requirements:

Candidates eligible for the role must have a Graduate and 1 - 3 years of experience in warehouse/logistics. Other requirements include attention to detail, organizing skills, and managing time. Basic computer knowledge for inventory tracking is a plus.
