Operation Executive

Job Title: Operations Executive FTL (Full Truck Load) Logistics Location: New Delhi Department: Operations Reports To: General Manager / Director of Logistics

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Executive to lead and optimize our Full Truck Load (FTL) logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of end-to-end freight movement, managing fleets, drivers, and third-party logistics partners, and driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily FTL operations including route planning, dispatch, tracking, and timely delivery of consignments.

• Optimize truck utilization and turnaround time to maximize cost-efficiency.

• Monitor driver performance, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance schedules.

• Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and transport partners to ensure SLA adherence.

• Maintain visibility and control of shipments using TMS and GPS-based systems.

• Ensure full compliance with transportation laws and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.

• Analyze operational KPIs and generate performance reports with improvement action plans.

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve escalations and ensure service excellence.

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of dispatchers, coordinators, and support staff.

• Identify opportunities to implement automation, digital tools, or route optimization strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics, preferably in FTL or freight transport operations.

• Strong understanding of transport regulations, fleet management, and logistics technology.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in TMS, GPS tracking, route planning, and Excel/reporting tools.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with major transport aggregators or tech-enabled logistics platforms.

• Knowledge of regional and national freight corridors.

• Familiarity with vehicle leasing and vendor negotiations.

Work Conditions:

• Full-time role with on-call availability during peak operations.

• Field visits may be required for fleet audits, vendor management, and operational supervision
