Labour Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of site labourers and subcontractors.

• Ensure daily attendance, timekeeping, and productivity of the labour workforce.

• Allocate work based on daily plans and priorities set by the Site or Project Manager.

• Monitor the quality and pace of work to ensure adherence to company and safety standards.

• Maintain discipline, resolve minor conflicts, and motivate the workforce.

• Ensure proper use and handling of tools, materials, and machinery.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Report daily progress, delays, or incidents to higher management.

• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

• Assist in training new workers or unskilled labour as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the marble, construction, or interior fit-out industry.

• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and work instructions.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Working knowledge of safety protocols and labour compliance.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills (Hindi, regional language; basic English preferred).

• Physically fit and willing to be present at the job site daily.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supervising marble/granite laying, polishing, or cutting teams.

• Diploma/Certification in Civil, Construction Management, or related fields (optional).

• Familiarity with basic MS Office or attendance tracking tools.
