Key Responsibilities
Import Documentation: Manage end-to-end import documentation for assigned clients across industries, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Client Coordination: Regularly update consignees on shipment status, timelines, and clearance processes.
Status Reporting: Maintain Daily Status Reports (DSR) for all clients to ensure smooth and transparent operations.
Bill of Lading: Coordinate with overseas agents for draft BL (Bill of Lading) and obtain client approvals on time.
Shipment Tracking: Monitor vessel schedules and provide clients with regular updates regarding transit and expected arrivals.
Pre-alerts & Telex Releases: Follow up for pre-alert documents, Telex Release of Master BL (MBL) and House BL (HBL).
Customs Coordination: Liaise with Customs House Agents (CHAs) to finalize checklists and ensure timely filing of Bills of Entry (BOE).
Digital Platforms: Use platforms like ODEX and various shipping line portals for document submissions and clearance.
IGM & DO Management: Share Import General Manifest (IGM) details with clients and obtain Delivery Orders (DO) from shipping lines.
Logistics Coordination: Work closely with CHAs and transporters for clearance and cargo delivery to client warehouses post “Out of Charge” (OC) clearance.
Job Closure: Follow up on billing from CHAs and transporters to ensure job files are closed efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
2–5 years of relevant experience in import documentation and logistics coordination
Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and documentation standards
Hands-on experience with ODEX and shipping portals
Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts
Proficiency in MS Office and report management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred
