Academic Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and student-focused Academic Counsellor to support the academic success and personal development of students. The Academic Counsellor will guide students through academic planning, provide educational and career advice, monitor academic progress, and connect students with support resources to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group academic counselling to students.

• Assist students in course selection, academic planning, and scheduling.

• Monitor academic performance and help students set and achieve educational goals.

• Identify students facing academic challenges and offer support strategies.

• Collaborate with faculty, administrative staff, and parents (if needed) to support student progress.

• Guide students in understanding institutional policies, graduation requirements, and academic procedures.

• Refer students to appropriate academic and personal support services (e.g., tutoring, career services, mental health resources).

• Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions and student progress.

• Develop and deliver academic workshops and orientation programs.

• Stay informed about trends and best practices in student advising and education.
