Key Deliverables:
1. Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance of machinery.
2. Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and perform quick repairs.
3. Identify equipment faults and troubleshoot to restore operations.
4. Repair faulty equipment or replace components as required.
5. Obtain specialist components, fixtures, or fittings when needed.
6. Ensure machinery and operations comply with health and safety legislation.
7. Develop and implement procedures for routine maintenance. 8. Manage stock of necessary supplies and equipment.
9. Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent repairs.
10. Maintain good verbal and written communication with team members.
11. Utilize relevant technical knowledge to improve processes and operations.
12. Proactively solve machinery-related issues to prevent downtime.
Safety Responsibilities:
1. Investigate workplace accidents to determine causes and implement corrective measures.
2. Ensure all workers follow safe work practices.
3. Identify and correct unsafe conditions in the workplace.
4. Provide safety training and orientation to new and existing employees.
5. Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is available, worn, and regularly inspected.
Knowledge & Competencies Required:
Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and machinery operations.
Understanding of workplace safety standards and practices.
Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and implement solutions.
Familiarity with ISO standards and procedures.
