As a Field Technician at Gilco Global, you will handle the complete technical cycle of elevator systems—from installation and commissioning to ongoing maintenance and service. You will play a key role in upholding our commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction across project sites and occupied buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Commissioning
Install lift systems (rails, cabin, motor, wiring) as per OEM and safety standards.
Execute electrical wiring, shaft work, and mechanical assembly.
Carry out full commissioning including panel configuration, testing, and safety validations.
Coordinate with sales, logistics, and engineering teams for timely execution.
Support final inspection and client handover documentation.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance visits for installed lifts.
Handle breakdown calls, identify faults, and implement repairs promptly.
Ensure compliance with safety devices and emergency operations (alarm, ARD, door sensors).
Replace worn-out parts and maintain service logs via the mobile app/FieldCircle.
3. Site Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate daily logs, service checklists, and commissioning sheets.
Record all work performed including materials used and client sign-off.
Coordinate handover between installation and AMC/service teams.
4. Customer & Team Interaction
Act as a professional point of contact for clients during both installation and service.
Clearly communicate issues, timelines, and resolutions.
Coordinate with internal service coordinators and supervisors.
Educate clients on basic lift operation and care post-installation.
5. Safety, Quality & Compliance
Follow all PPE and site-specific safety regulations.
Ensure every task aligns with IS code, EN81, OEM specifications, and company SOPs.
Report hazards and non-conformities promptly.
Qualifications
Education: ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical
Experience: 1–4 years (Lift industry preferred, freshers with internship can apply)
Technical Knowledge:
Installation & wiring of lift components
Troubleshooting microprocessor-based control systems
Lift safety devices, relays, door sensors, and emergency protocols
Key Skills
Site discipline & documentation
Mechanical aptitude & electrical fault analysis
Basic use of digital reporting tools (FieldCircle or similar)
Polite client communication
