ITI Technician

Visionaire Lab Systems Private Limited in Vijayanagar is looking for a skilled ITI Technician

to support the planning, installation, and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure, with a focus on laboratory furniture and utilities. The technician will work on-site to execute laboratory setup projects, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and functional requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Installation of Laboratory Furniture:

Assemble and install lab benches, fume hoods, storage cabinets, pegboards, sinks, and workstations.

Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and anchoring of lab furniture.

Utility Integration Support:

Assist in connecting utilities such as water, gas lines, vacuum lines, and electrical outlets to lab furniture systems.

Support basic plumbing and electrical work related to laboratory setups.

Site Preparation & Coordination:

Read and interpret lab layout drawings and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).

Coordinate with project engineers and vendors during installation phases.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform periodic maintenance checks on installed lab furniture.

Identify and fix issues related to hinges, locks, wheels, hydraulic lifts, etc.

Compliance & Safety:

Adhere to site safety protocols and ensure lab setups meet safety standards (e.g., chemical resistance, ergonomics, fire safety).

Documentation:

Maintain records of installations, service reports, and quality checklists.

Update inventory for tools, hardware, and furniture fittings.

Qualifications:

ITI certification in Fitter, Carpentry, Electrical, or relevant trade.

1–5 years of experience in laboratory or industrial furniture installation.

Skills & Competencies:

Hands-on experience in working with lab furniture materials (metal, wood, SS, phenolic resin).

Ability to understand civil/electrical/mechanical lab layout drawings.

Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical fittings.

Familiarity with fume hoods, epoxy tops, and modular lab systems.

Physically fit and comfortable working at client sites.

Good communication and team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

Worked with laboratory setup companies or modular lab furniture manufacturers.

Exposure to industrial or research facility installations.
