Preschool Teacher – Job Description
The Preschool Teacher plays a vital role in nurturing and educating young children during their formative years. They are responsible for creating a warm, stimulating, and age-appropriate learning environment that fosters physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons based on the preschool curriculum.
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
Use play-based and activity-driven teaching methods to develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining detailed records and documentation.
Encourage positive behavior, independence, and social interaction among children.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and well-being.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times in the classroom.
Support children with individual needs and provide one-on-one attention as required.
Graduate in Early Childhood Education / D.Ed / ECCEd or equivalent certification
1–3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred (freshers with strong passion may also apply)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Creative, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine love for working with young children
Good classroom management and observation skills
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
