Preschool Teacher – Job Description

The Preschool Teacher plays a vital role in nurturing and educating young children during their formative years. They are responsible for creating a warm, stimulating, and age-appropriate learning environment that fosters physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons based on the preschool curriculum.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

• Use play-based and activity-driven teaching methods to develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and communication.

• Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining detailed records and documentation.

• Encourage positive behavior, independence, and social interaction among children.

• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and well-being.

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

• Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times in the classroom.

• Support children with individual needs and provide one-on-one attention as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate in Early Childhood Education / D.Ed / ECCEd or equivalent certification

• 1–3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred (freshers with strong passion may also apply)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Creative, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine love for working with young children

• Good classroom management and observation skills

• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
