Security Guard

Key Responsibilities

1. Access Control

• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and vehicles.

• Maintain visitor logs and issue passes as required.

• Ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

2. Surveillance & Monitoring

• Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance systems.

• Conduct regular patrolling around premises.

• Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately.

3. Asset Protection

• Prevent theft, damage, or loss of property.

• Check bags or materials being taken in or out of the premises (as per policy).

• Ensure equipment, doors, and gates are properly secured.

4. Emergency Response

• Act as first responder during emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or accidents.

• Contact emergency services when necessary.

• Follow evacuation and emergency procedures.

5. Incident Reporting

• Record all unusual or suspicious incidents in the logbook.

• Prepare detailed incident reports when required.

• Inform management immediately about critical incidents.

6. Enforcement of Rules & Regulations

• Ensure compliance with company policies (e.g., no smoking zones, ID badges, etc.).

• Prevent fights, unauthorized gatherings, or loitering.

• Politely deal with non-compliance and report persistent issues.

7. Customer & Staff Assistance

• Guide visitors and staff when required.

• Help maintain order during peak hours or special events.

• Respond to queries and offer assistance courteously.

8. Monitoring Deliveries

• Verify delivery documents.

• Inspect items being delivered for correctness and safety.

• Ensure loading/unloading happens under supervision.

Additional Duties (as applicable)

• Check fire extinguishers and alarm systems regularly.

• Conduct night-time checks and ensure lights, locks, and gates are secured.

• Escort staff or visitors if needed, especially during late hours.
