Sales Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Officer for our Direct Channel – Life Insurance division. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with pre-qualified leads of existing customers provided by the company. Your primary responsibility will be to contact these customers, understand their insurance needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and close the sale through effective presentations and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Engagement: Contact pre-generated leads of existing policyholders or customers assigned by the company.

• Appointment Scheduling: Call customers to understand their insurance requirements and schedule face-to-face or virtual appointments.

• Sales Presentation: Conduct professional, informative, and convincing product presentations to prospective clients.

• Sales Closure: Understand customer needs, suggest suitable insurance plans, handle objections, and close the sale.

• Customer Relationship Management: Build trust and maintain long-term relationships with customers to encourage policy renewals, cross-selling, and referrals.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards as per IRDAI and company norms.

• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of calls, meetings, and conversions in CRM or sales tracking tools. Provide regular reports to the sales manager.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven negotiation and sales closure abilities

• Strong customer-centric approach and relationship-building skills

• Basic knowledge of life insurance products

• Ability to work independently and meet targets

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Commerce, Business Administration, or related field)

• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in life insurance, financial services, or direct customer interaction roles
