We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee and manage the procurement activities of our pharmaceutical distribution company. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, vendor management, and supply chain best practices. The role involves ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of medicines and related materials while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and manufacturers.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Procurement Planning:
Forecast purchase requirements based on stock movement, sales trends, and seasonality.
Coordinate with sales and inventory teams to plan and maintain optimal stock levels.
Order Management:
Place purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of purchase records.
Inventory Control:
Monitor stock levels and reduce excess or slow-moving inventory.
Ensure batch-wise and expiry-wise tracking of pharmaceutical items.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all purchased items comply with regulatory and company standards.
Handle issues related to damaged, expired, or non-compliant products.
Cost Control:
Analyze purchase data to control procurement costs and reduce wastage.
Implement strategies to maximize profitability through efficient buying.
Coordination & Reporting:
Liaise with accounts for invoice and payment reconciliation.
Prepare regular purchase reports and MIS for management review.
