Area Sales Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identify potential customers using online research (Google, directories, industry networks) and specify relevant regions and products.

• Conduct customer outreach through calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails.

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline using Zoho CRM to track prospects and customer data.

• Revive existing relationships with customers to generate repeat business and unlock new opportunities.

• Execute product presentations and physical product demonstrations at client locations.

·         Understand the full range of Sona’s products to position solutions effectively.

·         Lead negotiations with prospects, convert leads into sales, and achieve revenue and margin targets.

·         Be the single point of contact for customers post‑sales, ensuring smooth onboarding, satisfaction, and retention.

·         Display strong leadership qualities to guide, mentor, and support a team of junior sales executives.

·         Train and guide juniors on negotiation techniques, prospecting methods, and customer handling.

·         Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve current revenue goals and overall growth.

Skills and Qualifications:.

• Minimum education qualification must be bachelors degree in business/ marketing.

• 1–4 years of prior experience in BDE / Sales is preferred.

• Proven experience in B2B client acquisition and retention.

• Hands‑on experience in building a territory from scratch or making a measurable impact on company revenue and margins.

• Prior team‑handling experience is highly desirable.

• Comfortable with physical, one‑on‑one meetings with customers.

• Proficiency in using Zoho CRM (preferred) and standard office tools.

• Open to travel extensively in the assigned area.

• A proactive, target‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
