Department: Stores / Inventory Management
Reporting to: Stores Manager/Project Manager
To efficiently manage inventory by receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring smooth material flow in accordance with company policies and operational needs.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular stock audits.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
Implement FIFO/LIFO practices as applicable.
Material Receipt & Inspection
Receive materials from vendors and inspect for quality and quantity as per purchase orders.
Coordinate with quality/engineering teams for material verification.
Storage & Documentation
Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials as per safety and category standards.
Maintain updated inward/outward register and stock cards.
Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and other related documents.
Issue & Dispatch
Issue materials based on requisitions and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate dispatch of materials to project sites or departments.
Reporting & Coordination
Submit daily/weekly/monthly stock reports to management.
Coordinate with procurement, project, and finance teams for smooth operations.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store area.
Comply with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory norms.
Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP or Tally preferred)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Basic accounting and documentation skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination ability
