RAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable VRF Technician to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot VRF/VRV air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with leading VRF brands such as Mitsubishi Electric, LG, Daikin, or similar, and a deep understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerant cycles, and system controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and service VRF/VRV air conditioning systems (both indoor and outdoor units).

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspection, and repairs.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in VRF systems.

• Check refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and perform gas charging if required.

• Interpret wiring diagrams, control systems, and technical manuals.

• Configure remote controllers, BMS interfaces, and centralized control systems.

• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and customer reports.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth execution of works.

• Train junior technicians or assistants if required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in VRF system installation and maintenance.

• Technical knowledge of Mitsubishi Electric / LG / Daikin VRF systems preferred.

• Familiarity with tools like vacuum pumps, manifold gauges, leak detectors, etc.

• Basic understanding of electrical and control systems.

• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

• Physically fit and able to work on rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces.

• Good communication and customer service skills.
