Job Summary:

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for supporting patients with day-to-day care activities and assisting medical staff in providing high-quality care. This role includes ensuring patient comfort, safety, and hygiene while fostering a supportive and compassionate healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.

• Support patients with mobility and physical therapy needs, including transferring and ambulation.

• Help patients with meals, including feeding if necessary and monitoring intake.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.

• Observe and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.

• Assist in the transport of patients within the facility.

• Document care provided accurately in patient records.

• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent certification preferred (depending on region or facility).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred.

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.

• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
