The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the production process to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing. They ensure products are produced safely, cost-effectively, and to the required quality standards.
Production Planning:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet business goals and customer demand.
Resource Management:
Allocate resources effectively (labor, materials, equipment) to ensure optimal productivity.
Quality Control:
Monitor production output to ensure it meets quality standards and take corrective actions as necessary.
Team Supervision:
Lead and supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
Maintenance Coordination:
Work with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational with minimal downtime.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Reporting:
Prepare production reports, analyze performance metrics, and report results to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (3–8 years) in a similar role in manufacturing or production.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
