Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.

• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

• Manage and support firewall policies, VLANs, access points, and load balancers.

• Perform network upgrades and ensure hardware/software compatibility.

• Troubleshoot network issues and outages promptly.

• Conduct regular network performance tuning and capacity planning.

• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change management records.

• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and protection against cyber threats.

• Provide Level 2/3 support and work with vendors for issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• [2/3/5+] years of hands-on experience in network engineering.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).

• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network devices.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).

• Understanding of network security and firewall configurations.

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate / Professional)

• CompTIA Network+ / Security+

• Juniper or Fortinet Certifications (if applicable)
