Network Engineer

Field Team Requirements:

• Supervisors: Skilled personnel with Diploma or equivalent.

• Technicians: Skilled personnel with an ITI (Electrical trade) qualification or equivalent.

• Helpers: Semi-skilled personnel to assist Technicians during meter installations.

• Data Entry Operator: Semi-skilled with graduate or equivalent.

Job Descriptions:

a.      Subdivision Associate (Supervisor):

Qualifications:

1.      1 to 2 years of total experience (Mandatory to have at least 1 year on ground technical experience in Power Distribution).

2.      Diploma (Electrical or Electronics)/B. tech (Electrical or Electronics) or equivalent.

Job Description:

1.      Facilitate outsourced agencies in their identified areas of operations

2.      Technical Support in various smart meter installation operations such as consumer surveys, consumer indexing, meter installation, operations and maintenance those carried out by Technicians/Helpers.

3.      Steer consumer interactions and enable quick resolutions of technical issues / grievances.

4.      Ensuring the committed targets are met.

5.      Quality Checks of meter installation, consumer indexing, and O&M.

6.      Co-ordination with stakeholders i.e. DISCOM, Consumer, Field Team.

b.      Technicians:

Qualifications:

1.      Minimum 1-2 years of experience in distribution or meter installation-related work.

2.      ITI (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.

Job Description:

1.      Installation of consumer energy meters and service cables at consumer premises.

2.      Installation of DT meters, SMC boxes, DT cables, and CT connections.

3.      Consumer awareness during meter installation.

4.      Coordination with GMR Supervisors, DISCOM Teams, and consumers as required.

5.      Material collection and deposition from warehouses to DISCOM premises.

6.      Daily material reconciliation.

7.      Updating installation data in the mobile application along with the meter replacement note.

8.      Site visits for O&M of smart meters.

9.      Any other duties related to meter installation, consumer indexing, and O&M.

c.       Helpers:

Qualifications:

1.       Minimum 10th grade pass.

2.       Preferably 1 year of experience in electricity-related work with a wiremen license.

Job Description:

1.       Assist Technicians in meters and cable installation activities.

2.       Loading and unloading meters, cables, and other materials.

3.       Provide support to Technicians or the GMR Team during installation and O&M tasks.

4.       Update installation data in the mobile application along with the meter replacement note.

5.       Any other duties related to meter installation, consumer indexing, and O&M.
