IT Technician/Network Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our growing team. The IT Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, supporting end-users, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. This role is essential in providing technical support and maintaining a high level of IT service across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to internal users via phone, email, or in-person.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.

• Set up new user accounts and manage access controls in line with company policies.

• Perform routine system maintenance and updates.

• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure asset tracking is up to date.

• Collaborate with vendors for hardware repairs and software support.

• Assist in implementing and documenting IT policies and procedures.

• Support and maintain security standards including antivirus, backups, and access rights.

• Participate in IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new system rollouts.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or technician role.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
