Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing clean and pressed linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, steamers, and irons.

• Sort and classify laundry by color, fabric, and type.

• Load and unload machines, ensuring proper detergent and chemicals are used.

• Inspect items for stains or damage and treat or report accordingly.

• Fold, press, and package linens, towels, and garments as required.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry area and ensure equipment is in good condition.

• Handle guest laundry and dry cleaning with care, following specific instructions.

• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is an advantage.

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and safety procedures.

• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

• Basic communication skills.
