Role Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding the company's footprint in the weighing systems and solutions market. This role is strategic, requiring a mix of market research, sales leadership, and partnership development.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, and government sectors.

• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align business development goals with product offerings and capabilities.

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and positioning opportunities.

• Represent the company in exhibitions, trade shows, and industry forums.

• Prepare business proposals, presentations, and high-level reports for management.

• Drive lead generation activities and ensure timely follow-up.

• Achieve sales and growth targets as defined by the management.

• Provide regular forecasts, sales pipeline updates, and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 3–5 years of experience in business development or B2B sales, preferably in weighing systems, industrial products, or electronics.

• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.

• Fluency in English, Malayalam (speaking & writing), and Hindi (speaking) preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively for business development activities.

• Proven track record in sales or business development roles.

• Understanding of the weighing scale market and industry standards.

• Based in or familiar with the Coimbatore region.
