We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations within a designated geographical area. The ASM will be responsible for managing a team of sales executives, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and customers.
Develop and execute area-level sales strategies in alignment with company goals.
Manage, motivate, and train a team of sales representatives.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, or channel partners.
Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and promotional activities.
Conduct regular market visits and fieldwork.
Resolve customer and partner queries in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare and submit reports on sales performance and market conditions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Proven track record in sales target achievement and territory development.
Strong communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
Prior experience in [industry – e.g., FMCG, Consumer Durables, Pharma, Telecom, Logistics, etc.].
Exposure to distributor/channel partner management.
Local market knowledge and regional language fluency.
