Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role demands strong organizational skills and a sound understanding of the supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors

• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers

• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team for replenishment

• Track order status, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve delivery issues

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities

• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to reduce costs and improve efficiency

• Coordinate with accounts for vendor payments and invoice processing

• Ensure compliance with legal and company procurement policies

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• Proven work experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Good understanding of supply chain procedures and purchasing systems

• Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems)

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in [industry-specific, e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, construction] procurement

• Familiarity with import/export documentation and processes (if applicable)

• Knowledge of GST and other applicable tax laws

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
