Office Executive

The Freight Forwarder is responsible for planning and coordinating the international movement of goods via air, sea, or land. The role involves handling documentation, negotiating freight rates, liaising with customs brokers, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of logistics, compliance regulations, Incoterms, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage freight bookings (air, ocean, road, rail) with carriers and agents.

• Prepare shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, AWB, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List.

• Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations and trade laws.

• Monitor cargo movement and provide shipment tracking updates to clients.

• Liaise with customs brokers, port authorities, shipping lines, and clients.

• Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers and service providers.

• Handle insurance documentation and claims when required.

• Arrange inland transportation and warehousing as per client requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, billing, and documentation.

• Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving for delayed or misplaced cargo.
  
  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.

  • Knowledge of global shipping processes, Incoterms, and customs procedures.

  • Proficiency in freight software systems (e.g., Cargowise, Logisuite, SAP, etc.).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with DGFT, CHA coordination, and international trade regulations is a plus.
