Job Purpose:
To supervise and manage civil construction activities at project sites, ensuring work quality, adherence to timelines, compliance with safety standards, and cost-effective execution of tasks as per project specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor site progress, maintain daily reports, and update management on project status.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Check and verify measurements and quantities for billing purposes.
Manage site resources efficiently, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
Identify and resolve any technical issues or site challenges promptly.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at the site.
Participate in site inspections with clients, consultants, and authorities as required.
Maintain proper documentation related to site activities, work permits, inspections, and quality records.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, methods, and practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical documents.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Knowledge of safety practices and quality standards in construction.
Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools preferred.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
[0–5] years of experience in civil construction projects, depending on the level of the role.
Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
