The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with statutory compliance in the manufacturing/FMCG industry.
Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely closing of books of accounts.
Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance.
Handle reconciliations: bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company.
Monitor and control accounts payable and receivable.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Maintain proper documentation and records as per statutory requirements.
Support ERP system implementation and accounting software operations.
Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Supervise junior accounting staff.
