Job Summary:
The Division Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through timely and accurate data entry in the accounting system, ensuring statutory compliance (GST, TDS), supporting internal and external audits, and providing meaningful MIS reports for management decision-making. Prior experience working with Sun System accounting software will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day data entry of financial transactions in the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain books of accounts in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
Ensure GST compliance, including return preparation, reconciliation, and timely filing.
Handle TDS compliance, including deduction, return filing, and certificate issuance.
Support in preparation of MIS reports, comparison with budgets and projections, and provide variance analysis.
Liaise with internal and external auditors, resolve queries, and support audit completion.
Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Identify and suggest cost-saving measures and improve financial efficiency at the division level.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and financial reporting.
Coordinate with HO finance team and other departments for smooth financial operations.
Maintain and organize documentation for statutory and management reporting purposes.
Desired Candidate Profile:
CA Inter or B.Com with 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
Hands-on experience with Sun System will be a significant advantage.
Strong understanding of GST and TDS regulations.
Proven experience in handling audits and audit queries.
Ability to maintain internal financial controls and ensure process compliance.
Proficient in MS Excel, capable of preparing and analyzing MIS reports.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving approach.
Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
