Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Tally software, and a strong understanding of bookkeeping, GST, TDS, and income tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update day-to-day accounts in Tally ERP.

• Handle bookkeeping, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) on a monthly/quarterly basis.

• Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS; prepare and file TDS returns (24Q, 26Q).

• Assist in income tax filing and finalization of accounts for individuals and businesses.

• Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.

• Prepare reports such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.

• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for assessments and compliance.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure statutory compliance.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.

• Proficient in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.

• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic accounting principles.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-filing portals for GST, TDS, and Income Tax.

• Knowledge of payroll processing and PF/ESI compliance is a plus.
