Job Description: Accountant (Real Estate) – GST Specialist

Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance & Filings: Prepare and file accurate GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) within statutory deadlines.

• Tax Reconciliation: Conduct monthly and annual GST reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Invoice & ITC Management: Verify input tax credit (ITC) claims, ensure proper documentation, and rectify mismatches.

• Real Estate GST Application: Handle GST implications on property sales, leasing, construction contracts, and RERA compliance.

• Audit & Reporting: Assist in GST audits, assessments, and responding to departmental queries.

• Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on GST amendments, real estate taxation policies, and implement changes as required.

• Coordination & Advisory: Collaborate with internal teams, tax consultants, and auditors to ensure smooth GST compliance.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in GST accounting in the real estate sector.

• Strong knowledge of GST laws, RERA, and tax provisions applicable to real estate.

• Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or other accounting software.

• Ability to analyze tax data, resolve discrepancies, and manage filings efficiently.
